INTRO PRESENTATION
The intro information has several subsections.
- intro to infrared and spitzer. Very little of the basic infrared and spitzer information has been ingested, in part because there's a lot of material already out there that we don't need to reinvent. There is a placeholder with some information here: https://coolwiki.ipac.caltech.edu/index.php/Introduction_to_Infrared_and_Spitzer
(needs some updating, editing, etc.)
- intro to star formation. nearly all of this has been ingested, and it is here:
https://coolwiki.ipac.caltech.edu/index.php/Studying_Young_Stars
- intro to ic2118. only part of this has been ingested, and it is here:
https://coolwiki.ipac.caltech.edu/index.php/Specific_IC_2118_information
- intro to data reduction. none of this has been ingested.
DOWNLOADING OUR IMAGE DATA
All of this has been ingested. it lives here: https://coolwiki.ipac.caltech.edu/index.php/Downloading_data
LITERATURE SEARCHING
All of this has been ingested. it lives here: https://coolwiki.ipac.caltech.edu/index.php/Information_for_teachers#Literature_searching (should this be its own page, not part of this main page?)
DATA FROM OTHER WAVELENGTHS
All of this has been ingested. It lives here: https://coolwiki.ipac.caltech.edu/index.php/Data_from_other_wavelengths
OUR SPITZER MOSAICS
This has not been ingested at all yet. This is partially because I want to write the paper before releasing the mosaics on the web.
There is a general discussion on three color images that lives here: https://coolwiki.ipac.caltech.edu/index.php/Making_3-color_images
INDIVIDUAL DATA TABLES FROM SPITZER DATA and BANDMERGED DATA TABLE FROM 2MASS + SPITZER DATA
This has partially been ingested. This is partially because I want to write the paper before releasing the data tables on the web, and this is partially because the data needs to be reprocessed to get the final best photometry. The processing we used before had a variety of problems and issues. It was good enough for what we used it for, but it needs work.
There is a general discussion on color-color and color-magnitude diagrams here: https://coolwiki.ipac.caltech.edu/index.php/Color-Magnitude_and_Color-Color_plots
There is a discussion on units here: https://coolwiki.ipac.caltech.edu/index.php/Units
There is nothing yet except a placeholder on SEDs (see the Information for teachers page). This is where I ran out of gas!!!
THE NEXT STEPS
This has not been ingested at all yet.
ULTIMATE BONUS QUESTION
