SIMBAD literature search shows several papers:

Bibliographic references

This one has:

  • Known IRAS source associated with it.
  • Known sample of YSOs?... need to read the literature a bit more.
  • There is a lot of optical emission, which is likely from gas. Is this an HII region?
  • But, it looks cool.

(Babar, you will have to do an Aladdin demo for us at some point!)

It *is* pretty, but the spitzer data just don't scream "YSOs" to me. The cloud is INSANELY bright in the MIR (these are log scale rather than zscale, otherwise you'd just see the cloud. Seriously. I don't see a lot of point sources clearly associated with it. top to bottom, left to right, i1i2i3i4m1m2, e.g., 3.6, 4.5, 5.8, 8, 24, and 70 microns.
