SIMBAD literature search shows several papers:

Bibliographic references

This one has:

  • Known IRAS source associated with it.
  • Known sample of YSOs?... need to read the literature a bit more.
  • There is a lot of optical emission, which is likely from gas. Is this an HII region?
  • But, it looks cool.

(Babar, you will have to do an Aladdin demo for us at some point!)

It *is* pretty, but the spitzer data just don't scream "YSOs" to me. The cloud is INSANELY bright in the MIR. I don't see a lot of point sources clearly associated with it.
